What's the bottom rifle? It's not a M1 but it looks like it's an old timer.

The only gun I have is a WWII vintage M1 carbine that I haven't fired in more than 10 years. But I consider myself an expert with it after firing one a thousand times in Call of Duty: World at War.

The bottom rifle is an 8mm 1944 German Mauser 98K. It was designed in 1898... It's the rifle that springfield coppied when they built the 1903 Springfield 30-06 bolt action rifle. The Mauser is credited to being the standard for all bolt action rifles, even today.

and like the Sham Wow guy said "you know the Germans, they always make good stuff"

I thought it was a Kar98 but didn't want to guess. Slick rifle!

As for the carbine, it'll never be for sale. Sorry! Not only is WWII my favorite period of time but I also begged the guy I bought it off of for 3 years to buy it before he finally gave in. He's since passed away so it has extra meaning to me (he wasn't a Vet or anything, just a great guy I worked with for 15 years who collected guns). I'm hoping to pick up a WWII issued .45 pistol sometime in the next year.

Great Choice on the springfield XD!! I shot the same one you have black .45 ACP 5 inch barrel model over at midwest gun in Lyons, which i dont go to anymore because its a craphole. Now I go to megasports in plainfield. I have an HK USP 9mm. Goos stuff you have there. Good to see fellow pro 2A guys

I've always wanted an XD. I used to have a S&W .40, but I sold it last year. All I have now is a Remington 870 combo .12 gauge and an old Bobcat .50 cal muzzle loader.

Does Megasports sell handguns? I might have to check them out.

Yes. They have an indoor (albeit over-priced) range on the premises as well.

what is overpriced about it??? it's $17 for a full day as long as you buy $10 worth of ammo from them. (sure beats $800 for a V-6 hood)

"Omega" shooting sports in basically at the corner of 30 and Renwick... it is a giant warehouse size building that is wall to wall, floor to ceiling with guns and accessories... I nearly nutted when I walked in...

I actually intend on going there this week or weekend if I can.

Yes, they have the best selection of handguns in the midwest to buy.
To rent their selection is decent.
Their to buy prices are high but they have EVERYTHING from safes to knives to AR's to holsters.
